Betterfly acquired Mexican corporate financial wellness startup Minu in a deal valued at approximately $100M.

Founded in 2019 by Nima Pourshasb, Rafael Niell, and Paolo Rizzi, Minu provides more than 50 employee benefits through a B2B2C model, including earned wage access, telemedicine, and financial wellness tools. Its clients include Grupo Modelo, Liverpool, TelevisaUnivision, Coppel, and Avis.

The acquisition adds financial wellness to Betterfly’s platform, which has focused on physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It also strengthens the company’s position in Mexico, one of its largest markets.

The deal comes as Betterfly prepares to enter the U.S. market. Betterfly plans to begin pilot programs with brokers and insurers in June 2026 and launch commercially on January 1, 2027. Over the past 18 months, Betterfly has invested more than $40M in its US expansion and expects to increase its local workforce from 20 to 50 employees within the next year.

Minu serves more than 2,000 corporate customers and over one million users. Minu employs 70 people and has raised more than $50M to date.
