June 10 – FIFA has confirmed a sweeping series of fan events across host cities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, aimed at amplifying the cultural footprint of the 2026 World Cup well beyond the stadiums themselves.
Designed as both a complement to live match attendance and a destination for fans without tickets, the events will feature giant-screen broadcasts, live musical entertainment, and locally tailored attractions designed to bring the tournament atmosphere into the heart of the host cities.
At the centre of the programme is the largest and most geographically expansive FIFA Fan Festival in tournament history. Spanning close to 4,000 kilometres across the three host nations, the official FIFA Fan Festival will be staged in 13 host cities, claiming a place for supporters to gather, celebrate, and share the experience of the global game.
Official FIFA Fan Festival sites will not be operated in New York/New Jersey, the San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle.
FIFA said that a series of host-city-led fan events designed in partnership with local organising committees have confirmed events in Los Angeles, New York/New Jersey, and Philadelphia, offering additional gathering points for fans to watch matches in public community spaces.
Heimo Schirgi, FIFA World Cup 2026 Chief Operating Officer, said: “The FIFA Fan Festival is where football, entertainment, and local culture come together to create a truly unique way for fans to experience the FIFA World Cup 2026 beyond the stadiums.
“These iconic locations will unite fans from around the world, while showcasing the distinctive spirit of each Host City through football, music, food, culture, and shared moments of connection. Together with additional fan gatherings across the continent, this FIFA World Cup will deliver the most diverse, vibrant, and expansive fan experience ever staged.”
A big boast with so many fans of so many nations banned from entry to the USA to follow or support their teams. It has not been confirmed whether Immigration Enforcement Agents (ICE) will be in operation at these venues.
