June 8 – Concacaf has launched eConcacaf, its official football esports platform, designed to create new opportunities for Member Associations, players, and fans across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
The launch marks a significant step in the Confederation’s growing esports strategy and includes the first edition of the FIFAe Continental Championship North, Central America, and Caribbean by Concacaf, which will be held in Mexico City from August 28-30, 2026. The event forms part of the Road to the FIFAe Finals 2026, alongside four parallel continental championships in Asia, South America, Africa, and Europe.
Through eConcacaf, Concacaf will provide a structured platform for official regional competition across three titles: Rocket League, eFootball Mobile, and eFootball Console. The platform will also support Member Association participation, fan engagement, brand growth, and future commercial opportunities.
“eConcacaf represents an exciting new chapter for our Confederation and a meaningful opportunity to further connect with fans and players in a different way,” said Philippe Moggio, General Secretary of Concacaf.
“Football esports continues to grow across our region, and this platform will allow our Member Associations and their teams to participate in a structured competitive pathway that connects directly to the global FIFAe ecosystem.”
The FIFAe Continental Championship will serve as the region’s top-level football esports competition and an official qualifier for the FIFAe Finals 2026. It will be hosted at Gamergy, in Dallas in August.
More than 120 nations entered the 2026 FIFAe ecosystem globally, with 15 Concacaf Member Associations participating across the region, signalling steady year-on-year growth in nation-based esports competition.
