Brazilian startup Pax raised a $40M seed round led by Greenoaks and Benchmark.

Pax develops AI software that helps investigators analyze surveillance data. The platform reviews video footage, generates investigative leads, and answers questions through a conversational interface, enabling law enforcement agencies to turn large volumes of information into actionable intelligence.

With the funds, Pax will expand across Brazil and Latin America, accelerate product development, and broaden deployment of its technology.

Pax operates in about 30 Brazilian cities. Over the past year, agencies using the platform have solved more than 2,000 criminal cases, including homicides, armed robberies, and vehicle thefts.
